Apollo's Cabinet Apollo's Cabinet 2009
Standing: Barbara Lambert, Rod Stucky
Sitting: Nina Key-Campbell, Micah Fusselman, Harold Byers

Here's where you can meet the members of Apollo's Cabinet, find out more about them and their instruments and the music that they play. There are plenty of links throughout the site to send you exploring for as little or as long as you wish. If you don't already love Baroque music, we hope that you will after your experience with us at concerts or on this site.

Who's Apollo's Cabinet anyway?!

We recently got a call from an astute businessman who wished to show us his line of cabinets! Well, guess that reminds me that maybe we should confess that we DO NOT sell cabinets, nor do we own a magic cabinet that spews great music if you open a drawer.

The Name Change

The ensemble was formed in 1989 as the Baroque Chamber Soloists. In 2001 we changed our name to Apollo's Cabinet. The name was inspired by a collection of diverse British vocal music published in 1758 in Liverpool, England. Apollo with his lyreApollo was the Greek god of Music, Poetry, Medicine and the Sun, who, according to legend, gave the gift of music to the first woman, Pandora. The ensemble honors Apollo's gift of music to the world with its name and draws its musical inspiration from Apollo's figurative and overflowing "cabinet".

We are dedicated to finding and presenting chamber music written around, but not limited to, the Baroque period. One of our goals is to present interesting music in innovative ways that inspire our listeners, inspire us, and bring "old" music to life and to "light" instead of leaving it in a dusty old cabinet! Come hear us sometime.

CMN LogoApollo's Cabinet is proud to be a founding
member of the Chamber Music Network.
